Picture DaysSchool picture days are scheduled for October 17th and 18th starting at 9:00am. We are trying a new company this year that offers several different photo packages as well as special items like mugs, calendars, and throws. You will find a packet in your mailbox early in October with order forms and prices. The order forms must be returned PRIOR TO picture day. Photos will be delivered within four weeks after picture day. Due to the number of children, we will have two picture days. The schedule will be as follows:
Thursday, October 17: Children who do not normally come to school on their designated picture day are encouraged to stop in so they can be included in the class pictures! Ask in the office what time to come. If you have more than one child at the school and would like them to be photographed together, write both children's names on the envelope provided. If you also want pictures taken separately, request extra envelopes in the office - you have to fill out individual envelopes for each pose. |

We'er Going Pumpkin PickingOn Wednesday, October 23rd, our Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten classes will be going to Springdale Farm for pumpkin picking and a hayride! The bus will leave at 10:00am and we will be having lunch there, so pack a disposable, brown-bag lunch to bring. The cost for this trip will be $9.00 per child. Chaperones pay $3.00 (or $9.00 if they wish to pick pumpkins). Chaperone sign-up sheets will be posted the week before the trip. |
Halloween ParadeOur annual Halloween Parade will be held on Thursday, October 31st at 9:00am on the playground. Children should come to school dressed in their costumes, and don't forget a change of clothes for later in the day! Class parties will be held after the parade. Parents are welcome to stay for the parade. Bring your cameras! However, we ask that parents please do not stay for the class parties. Halloween is always a fun-filled but hectic day for the children. It is often difficult for them when their parents leave; we want to minimize tears as much as possible. Also, there are a number of children with severe allergies that parents may not be aware of. We don't want any child to accidentally be given treats at the party that they can't have. Thank you for your understanding. |
