It's Fundraiser Time!

In your mailboxes are copies of this year's holiday fundraiser catalog complete with order forms. The fundraiser runs from Monday the 1st until Friday the 12th. You are encouraged to share the catalog with family, friends, and coworkers. The money raised this fall will go towards the purchase of new toys, games, and books for the classrooms. The items that are ordered will be delivered to the school in early December in time for the winter holidays. Payment is in cash or check form, with checks made payable to "The Goddard School". If you have any questions, please see Ms. Brooke in the office. Thank you for your support!

Special Lunch Week and Thanksgiving Feast

This month's special lunch week will be held Monday the 15th to Friday the 19th. The menu, as always, is as follows: Monday - Spaghetti, Tuesday - Nuggets and fries, Wednesday - Lo Mein and wontons, Thursday - Macaroni & Cheese, corn and cornbread, and Friday - Pizza. Cost is $3 per day or $14 for the week. Nuggets and fries will be offered every Tuesday and pizza will be offered every Friday. However, on Tuesday the 23rd, instead of nuggets, we will celebrate Thanksgiving with a turkey feast. Cost is $3 and a vegetarian option will be offered as well. Don't forget, payment is in cash only! We hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday with family and friends!

Donations Needed

We are in need of extra clothing to keep at school as spare changes of clothing for children who have accidents or get extra messy during art. We have many items of spring and summer clothing, but nothing that would be appropriate for the fall or winter. Items that we need include, but are not limited to: Shirts (long sleeve, short sleeve and sweatshirts), pants, onezies, and socks. Clothes are especially needed for the 2 to 4 age group. Underwear is always needed, but it must be new in the package (the dollar store is a great place to find inexpensive packs). We appreciate anything that you are able to donate to us! Thank you in advance!

Early Payment Discount

The deadline for early payment discount for December's tuition is Wednesday, November 24th. If payment is made by this date, you may deduct $15 from your tuition.
Please do not forget to send in seasonally appropriate changes of clothes to keep in your child's cubby for those extra messy days! The weather is changing and we want our children to be warm! Also, on extra chilly days, don't forget to bundle them up for outside play time!

Kindergarten

We welcome the month of November with lots of exciting things to learn and do. This is the month we will be voting for our new President. Kindergartners will be learning the process of voting and doing their own voting in class. In math we will be working with numbers, counting, and graphing. In Language Arts we will continue working with our high frequency words. Thanksgiving is a time for learning about the Indians and Pilgrims and about the first Thanksgiving and the feast that the two groups shared. November will be a month of great food tasting opportunities. We will certainly enjoy this month! We are still waiting word on when Ms. Chris will be able to return to school. We will keep you posted with any and all information.

Ms. Chris and Ms. Brenda

Parents, Ms. Chris is expected to return when she has clearance from her doctor. Right now, we are not 100% sure of when this will be. In the interim, Ms. Brenda has all of Ms. Chris's lesson plans and the class will continue with their academics as usual. Thank you for your understanding! Ms. Brooke
