Summer Camp

The second week in May is National Our summer camp program begins on Monday, June 24th. If you do not have a camp calendar please stop by the office and pick one up. We have all sorts of fun activities planned! Children in Toddlers and up will receive camp T-shirts. Children in the Preschool, Pre-K, and Older Campers groups must wear their T-shirts on field trip days. We also have plenty of visitors scheduled to come entertain the children, including Boo-Boo the Clown, the Segal Puppet Theatre, and the Petting Zoo. It is sure to be a fun-filled summer at Goddard!

Sprinkler Days

In past years, we have had Sprinkler Days twice a week in the summertime. Unfortunately, New Jersey is still in a state of drought emergency and water use has been severely restricted. Until the drought situation changes, we will not be permitted to have sprinkler days. The children will, however, participate in other water play activities, such as the water tables and occasional squirt-downs with the hose! Keep a bathing suit and towel in your child's cubby just in case! For more information on the drought, you can check www.njdrought.org.

Lunch Week

Just a reminder that we do not have special lunch weeks in the summertime. We will still have chicken nuggets and fries every Tuesday and pizza days on Fridays. We will resume special lunch weeks in September. Also, please note that we order lunch at 10:00am on special lunch days. If you will be arriving at school later than ten and want to order lunch, please call ahead to make sure we order enough for everyone.

A Summer Shoes Poem

Jellies are cute, Sandals are cool,
Swim shoes are neat
for a backyard pool.
BUT...
When coming to school
where we jump and run
sneakers, please
