Thank You!
Thanks to generous donations from our families, the Hop-a-Thon on November 6th raised $1142.00 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The Valente (Matthew, Pre-K1) and Crognale/ Jenson (Adam, Kindergarten) families donated the most money for the MDA.
Also, the holiday fundraiser helped to raise over $1700 toward resurfacing the playground. The families that raised the most money during this fundraiser were the Bennses (Taylor, PS2 & Morgan, Toddler1) and the Weitzes (Hannah, PS2 & Melissa, Infants). We'll be having more fundraisers in the upcoming months to help us reach our goal, so keep an eye on your mailboxes!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to both these special events. |

'Tis the season to be creative! During the month of December Preschool 2 will make snowmen out of marshmallows, build a gingerbread house from crackers, and learn how to make our own candy! We will explore how other countries celebrate the holiday season, and learn about some traditions surrounding Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa. The color of the month is white, and the shape of the month is a star. On the first day of winter we will dance like snowflakes, and on the 23rd we will kick off our holiday break with a Seasons Greetings party!

We can't wait for the parties to begin! We will celebrate Hanukkah with books, lights, and preparing latkes. During our Kwanzaa celebration we will each donate 2 pieces of fruit for a Friendship Salad. We'll also make colorful paper chains to decorate our classroom. Our Christmas party will be on Tuesday the 23rd. We'll design two giant pinatas and ask our parents to donate small party favors and wrapped candies to put in them. We'll prepare Rudolph and Santa Claus Sandwiches for special snack. Each child will go home with a stocking full of goodies. Happy Holidays!

Pre-K 2
We have many exciting activities going on in December. We will continue with our letters Show & Tell on Wednesdays with J, K, and L. We will start the numbers 1, 2, and 3 as well. We'll discuss different holidays including Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, and others. We will also discuss why some people do not celebrate any holidays at all. Our class is accepting donations of brown paper bags for our winter crafts. Also, if anyone has holiday books to share with the class that would be wonderful!
